Hamid Marvi

Biography

I am a Ph.D. candidate working in the Hu Lab for Bio-locomotion in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. My advisor is Prof. David Hu and my Ph.D. research is focused on the role of functional surfaces in the locomotion of snakes. We combine table top animal experiments with mathematical modeling in order to elaborate the underlying physics of animal locomotion.
